What is the course like?
In this Communication four-part series you acquire valuable insights into understanding the altered perception of those experiencing dementia, what causes their behavior and how to improve interaction and communication with them.
This course provides specialized information on brain function, how dementia changes the neuro-system and effects the mind, perception and behavior.
What will you achieve?
Through a series of empathy building exercises, you develop a deeper insight into the inner world of those experiencing dementia which allows you to step into their shoes.
By applying our techniques to improve both verbal and nonverbal communication you gain practical tools to meet the progressing challenges and address most situations that arise.
The care suggestions create an atmosphere of trust and harmony and strengthens the emotional bonds between you.
